Delivery time depends on whether the container is in stock near you, the shipping route and customs clearance. Local deliveries from a depot can usually be arranged within days to a couple of weeks. International sea freight usually takes several weeks from order to arrival.

Ask for recent photos or a video of the actual unit you are buying, not a stock image. Check that it has a CSC safety approval plate and a readable ISO 6346 container number. Look at the doors, locking bars and rubber seals, and check the floor for soft or damp spots.

Inside, close the doors and look for any daylight coming through the roof, walls or corners. Surface rust is normal on used containers, but holes and heavy corrosion are not. For larger orders, you can visit the depot or hire an independent surveyor.

Payment terms are set out in your written quotation, so you know the amount, what is included and when payment is due before you commit. For international orders, buyers commonly pay by bank transfer, often with a deposit when the order is confirmed and the balance before the container ships.

Most international shipments need a commercial invoice, a packing list, a bill of lading and a customs declaration. Some countries also ask for a certificate of origin or the container’s CSC approval details. We provide the shipping documents; customs duties, taxes and rules for used containers vary by country.
